J P Forrest & Son is a precision engineering company specialising in the manufacture of medium to heavy welded steel fabrications, machining and assembly to customer specific requirements of equipment such as gear cases, housings, mainframes and equipment bodies for a diverse range of industries including mining, steel making, offshore oil & gas, marine, power generation and recycling.
We currently employ approximately 20 people at our Worksop site, several of whom have been with us for many years.
We operate 24 hours a day, providing a 'one-stop shop' for our customers, supplying precision machined fabrications, castings and forgings up to 20 tonnes in weight.

Continuous Improvement
Over the last fifty years we have continually strived to invest in the most up-to-date high technology equipment available. This policy of continuous improvement, together with training and our customer involvement policy, aims to ensure customer satisfaction at all times.
Inspection and Testing
All company activities are subject to our independent Quality Assurance Surveillance. All items undergo stringent dimensional inspection during processing and on completion. All materials have full traceability and certification.
Transport
Being situated in the East Midlands we are central to the whole of the UK and to the A1 and M1 Motorway Network. Our 3.5 tonne & 7.5 tonne GVW lorries are available for collection of materials and delivery of finished products to anywhere on the UK mainland.
Fabrication

Fitting & Assembly
We can accommodate bench fittings and assembly work from small sub-assemblies to complete machines including electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Development work and functional tests are also undertaken.
Breakdown, Repair & Refurbishment
We can also offer a breakdown/repair and refurbishment service in our workshops, which are open 24 hours a day.
